Fresh (Entry #7)
As we go about our days, there is one major thing we need in order to survive, which is food. Many don't stop and think what it is exactly that they are consuming. It is concerning how many are uneducated or not provided with the facts on the food in which they continue to ingest.
This film "Fresh" made by Anna Sofia Jones discovers and exposes a lot about the food industry. It deserves a lot of recognition. It shines light on terrible truths like animals being fed what they aren't supposed to be fed. This includes feeding them meat when really, they should be eating plants. This creates for diseases such as E-coli and Mad Cow Disease. Not only is it harmful to the animals, but to the consumers as well (humans!). On top of that, the crops are sprayed with chemicals due to bugs and it then affects both animals and people whether they are the ones spraying it or consuming it. That is what I like about the film, it exposes things that we are more than capable to change our ways for. The targeted audience is Americans who consume these very foods that are grown the way that they are and contain the things that they do. We are able to create change by going back to the natural ways of growing crops and feeding animals. It isn't "easier" for these issues to go unnoticed. They will continue to be dismissed if that is the case. We need to care more for our health and nature too! The food industry is harming both parties and considering that this is an essential to surviving, we need to make sure it is done the right way.
It is crucial that you take the time to educate yourself on the products in which you consume, and how, who, and where it comes from. Protect your health!
Stay tuned,

I found this blog entry very cool and informal about the secret truths of how the film fresh exploits the bad things farmers do. It is a very interesting fact that farmers will feed things to animals that they should not be eating, leading to terrible diseases. It is concerning how we could be eating the animas with these illnesses.
